Executive Committee 2012/13

 


The Executive Committee authorises and manages the day to day running of the Chamber, its policies, its finances and its affairs – everyone is an unpaid, unexpensed volunteer bar the Chamber Secretary.

The workload is commensurate with running a business of 60k turnover and each Executive Committee member is expected to carry a share of the workload and regularly attend the LGA meetings and Chamber events.

In addition because the Chamber has no limited liability, anyone wishing to be nominated for a position should be quite clear as to any future financial penalties they may bear. 

The Executive Committee is made up of the:

Vice-President(s) 

Honorary Treasurer

Branches & Trade Sections  - currently there are none which meet the criteria 
 
9 General Members - in addition to the above nine other members chosen out of the general body of members are elected at the AGM in March and these are the positions for which the nomination form is used

If there are more than nine nominations then votes are cast privately by eligible members present at the AGM - you may be asked to make a short presentation to the AGM attendees.
