Bournemouth will be 200 years old in 2010 and this is a unique opportunity to celebrate all that is good about Bournemouth.

The aim of the Bournemouth 200 Bicentenary Celebration is to ensure that Bournemouth’s Bicentenary will be celebrated through a wide range of events and activities harnessing the full spectrum of community life and interests.

It will be delivered through facilitating, co-ordinating and financially supporting a programme of local events, initiatives and projects throughout 2010. Responsibility for delivering this objective will lie with The Bicentenary Board through the structure set out in its constitution.

The Bicentenary celebration will be cultural, creative, educational, exciting, fun, inspirational, memorable and much more.
