Arts Bournemouth launches THE OTHER CINEMA

presenting David Lean’s Classic 1945 film

Brief Encounter

Tuesday 14 February, 7pm, at Bournemouth Pier Theatre.

 

Arts Bournemouth launches The Other Cinema – a live and immersive ‘pop-up’ cinema experience, presenting David Lean’s classic film Brief Encounter along with live music from The Regular Joes, costumed performance and usherettes at Bournemouth Pier Theatre on Tuesday 14 February 2012, from 7.00pm.

Tickets are now on sale at £8 / £7 conc. from www.bhlivetickets.co.uk and Tel. 0844 576 3000. The event will be a live film experience of one of the most beautiful and romantic films, David Lean’s 1945 classic Brief Encounter, written by Noel Coward. The film has been rated as the “most romantic film of all time” by the Guardian and Observer. Cinema-goers are being encouraged to dress 1940s-inspired for the event.

 

Ticket is inclusive of the following programme:

7pm -7.45pm         Live music from 1940’s-inspired band The Regular Joes on the stage at Key West plus bar(next door to the Pier Theatre)

8pm                       Feature film: Brief Encounter in the auditorium of the Pier Theatre

                             Length of film approx 90mins

9.30pm                 Back to Key West for live music from The Regular Joes (until 10.30pm) , bar, and dancing until 11pm
