The Chamber represents business in Bournemouth through its position as the prime consultative business group with Bournemouth Borough Council. This enviable position means we have daily communication with Council departments on issues that are affecting business in the Borough and are consulted on decisions that will impact on businesses in the Borough.

The Chamber Executive, Traders Representatives, Council Officers and Councillors attend the Local Government Affairs meeting meet every second Monday of the month to discuss matters relevant to the Town's continuing success.

Working in partnership we continue to work on the development of a strong business community in Bournemouth. This has already delivered a parking refund scheme to generate more customers in our trading suburbs.

This vital work ensures that business is at the heart of decision making in the Borough and that members concerns and ideas can be represented at a level where they can be heard.

Through our partnership with many local support groups you can expect the best in advice for your Business.

The advice available includes marketing, finance and much more.

Chamber Training

Chamber sponsored training events range from marketing your website through to understanding employment law. All of our events are free and based in the local area.

BH Business

A free bi-monthly business magazine delivered to your door with the latest in business news for Bournemouth. This monthly publication has a circulation of 5,000 and is distributed to business and key pickup points throughout the town.

Members enjoy the opportunity for editorial (subject to available space) and a reduced rate on advertising.

Chamber Online

The Chamber website gives members access to the latest chamber and member news and events. Through our online e-shots and articles you can submit press releases, business news and any events you may be holding.

You can also sign up for free events, get tickets for chargeable events and pay your membership.

This service provides members with an excellent marketing tool for their business and is provided as part of your membership.

Chamber Events

Chamber Events range from our ever popular Member Showcase Evenings through to the informal BH Banter; all provide a relaxed environment for socialising and discovering new customers and contacts for your business. Gone are the words ‘networking’ in favour of creating an atmosphere where you don’t feel pressured by the room being filled with people who want to sell you something.

For prospective members who are contemplating joining the Chamber, you will be able to attend two of our Networking events at either BH Banter or Beales Breakfast, free of charge, in order that you can see what we have to offer, without making a commitment. After this you will need to join the Chamber to benefit fully from our regular activities and your membership.

BH Banter

An informal get-together at a member hotel to see the latest copy of BH Business and catch up with other members and their news. Call in on the way home from work for a drink and a chat. (Cash Bar)

The Breakfast Club @ Beales

Our Breakfast Club is a relaxed networking event which has proven to be a popular formula with companies who do business in Bournemouth. No formal introductions, you just work the room with your business cards as much or as little as you want and make lasting contacts for your business. Entry is free, you just buy whatever you want to eat and drink.

An event where a member has the opportunity to hold an event at their premises to launch new products or present their business to the wider business community.
