BCHA, the specialist housing and support provider, were recently presented with the Sourcing Excellence Award for achieving the ‘large project’ highest resident satisfaction score 2016 at the Source Development Residents Conference in partnership with Spectrum Housing Group.
Source Development Partnership is a consortium of actively developing housing associations through which BCHA gain government funding and the award was for the highest resident satisfaction score for a large housing scheme in the Source Development Consortia 2015-16.
The award-winning scheme on Western Avenue in Bournemouth comprises of 24 two bedroom, three person flats and the four blocks of six flats are named Birch, Chestnut, Holly and Acacia to quietly spell out BCHA. The site itself came forward as a redundant residential home from Bournemouth Borough Council.
John Stevens, who provides Development Support at BCHA, said, ”It is heartening to hear that this scheme has had high satisfaction scores from residents. It is a welcome reward for the effort from the Project Team and Planners to deliver this scheme in a tight time-frame.”
