The Rotary District 1090 is holding its Annual Conference in Bournemouth in 2017 between 24 – 26 March. The weekend is founded on fellowship, speakers who talk about a range of subjects usually concerning the charities and projects various Rotary Clubs support in the District.
Rotary Clubs and the Rotary Movement support a wide range of charities and projects including; the RNLI, air ambulance, organisations which help children with special needs, people with disabilities and family support.
Rotary is a World wide movement and Internationally we fund and help build hospitals and schools in areas which have either suffered from disasters or where infrastructure funding is limited. We also work with the Bill Gates Foundation to try and eliminate polio from the world, the foundation matches every dollar we raise. Polio is now only experienced in three countries and our aim of eliminating Polio from the World is a real possibility.
We expect the 2017 Conference Village will be a lively event at the BIC in the Purbeck Hall. The Purbeck Hall offers a large space where community projects, fundraising initiatives and development projects can set out their stall’s, using either their own stands or have a table for display. This offers Rotary Clubs, charities and commercial organisations a variety of options to suit their needs. The Purbeck Hall will allow exhibitors a wonderful space to set out promotional and marketing material without the usual space constraints.
Commercial organisations are also welcome to hire space and advertise their products or services. This Conference also offers the opportunity for people to get to know how Rotary operates and is a good place to talk to Rotarians and consider whether joining a local club would be of interest.
The Purbeck Hall will be the venue for refreshments between talks and events, offering the opportunity of discussing and sharing experiences about the many Rotary projects and initiatives over coffee. Rotarians, guests and friends will be able to see all of the exhibitors stalls whilst visiting the different refreshment outlets in the Purbeck Hall during the Conference.
If you would like your organisation’s name to appear in the Conference Programme you will need to have returned your booking form and paid the fee by 16 January 2017.
Booking fees are as follows: Rotary Clubs £20.00, charities £35.00 and commercial organisations £60.00. Your booking fee includes one table.
