An International Family Day is taking place in the Triangle area of Bournemouth on Saturday 28th October from 11.00-4.00pm. The event is part of the inaugural 3 day ‘One World By The Sea Festival’ programme which launches on Thursday 26th October.
The Free International Family Day has a packed programme of entertainment and promises something for everyone – locals, visitors, students and families alike.
Event organiser Rachel Woodward Carrick, Director of Bournemouth University international College advised, “We have so much going on throughout the day including a Cuban DJ playing international tracks, a Chinese Lion Dance performed by ‘Dragon of the South’, Bulgarian and Mexican dancing, an African reggae and Latino bands, a male voice choir, ‘Unity in Vision’ with a sari demonstration, and more.”
Rachel continued, “We are delighted at the commitment and interest that has been shown to this event and we are proud to say that the programme is literally bursting with activity! There will also be food stalls to tempt your taste buds with flavours from across the world, and a diverse mix of stands including Polish handicrafts, Jitsu demonstrations, and other activities and games.
