Dorset Business Angels (DBA), which is part of the UK Business Angels Network, has announced its team of sponsorship partners for 2018 as it renews its existing relationships with Saffery Champness Chartered Accountants, Investec Wealth & Investment, Bright Blue Day and Bournemouth Council and welcomes on board new sponsors, Laceys Solicitors.
DBA Peter Eales advised, “DBA’s reputation is continuing to go from strength to strength and we are receiving increased interest from investors and businesses from across much of the UK. 2018 promises to be a very busy period as many applications have been received from entrepreneurs to pitch to the Angels. We are thrilled to have such a positive and strong team of sponsorship partners around us to support us in our period of growth.”
Laceys Solicitors Corporate and Commercial Team Partner Sam Freeman said, “Laceys Solicitors are strong advocates for getting involved in local initiatives that encourage dynamic young entrepreneurs and investors into our area, and we are delighted with this new partnership with Dorset Business Angels. We are really looking forward to being able to play our part in giving start-ups and investors the tools to develop and build strong and successful businesses.”
Saffery Partner Roger Wareham commented, “We were very keen that Saffery Champness Accountants continues their long- standing support of the DBA’s. We acknowledge the importance of entrepreneurs to the local economy and we make sure we provide as much resource and support for businesses as possible. Dorset is proving to be a real hub for entrepreneurial talent and we very much welcome that.”
DBA was formed in 2013 with the aim of being a catalyst in Dorset to bring together entrepreneurs and investors to help accelerate the growth of start-up businesses. Their vision is to turn Dorset into one of the UK’s best regions for setting up high growth and start-up businesses by providing quality private equity investment opportunities to local high net worth and sophisticated investors. Several times a year DBA investors invite businesses to pitch for investment in a Dragon’s Den style scenario.
