We would love to invite you to the launch of “Bournemouth Street Support” at 2pm on 10 October in the Central Library.
Street Support is an on-line information resource that brings all the local community support together in one place to help people out of homelessness. It not only allows those in need to “find help”, but also shows people of goodwill where they can “give help” to enhance the existing work.
Local agencies and charities have come together to find innovative ideas to help people get off, and stay off, the streets of Bournemouth. And this is our first project together…
Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bradford and Portsmouth are all using or just about to start using this system; in Manchester, it has not only helped people to transform their lives, but has raised £90,000+ for local projects through an alternative giving campaign.
We think that this will be a significant community-wide response to a growing national problem – working smarter by working together. And we would love to show it to you…!
So, if you can come to the second floor of the central library at 2pm on 10th October (world homelessness day and world mental health awareness day!), then either send me an email or go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/launch-of-street-support-bournemouth-tickets-38110108360
