LGA Meetings are organised by Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce, held at the Bournemouth Town Hall with representatives from local trading groups attending on a monthly basis to discuss local issues and the plans for Bournemouth.
The Local Government Affairs Meeting (LGA) is one of the most important meetings organised and attended by the Chamber. It is held every second Monday of the month and it provides the Chamber with its unique position of influence within the Borough representing Chamber members by being the consultative business voice of Bournemouth.
The LGA is also attended by local Councillors, the Borough Chief Executive, heads of Town Hall departments and directorates such as Planning and Tourism, Bournemouth Town Centre and Coastal BID managers, Bournemouth Accommodation and Hotels Association (BAHA), local transport companies, and specialist industry sectors such as Funeral Directors.
The meeting provides a crucial platform to local businesses to liaise with the local Council and raise any issues which may be affecting businesses across the conurbation. It also helps the Chamber and Trade Groups to remain abreast of developments within the town which may affect the local business community.
