There are three categories for which the Cherries will be selecting a charity, including Supporters’ Charity, Junior Cherries Charity and Official Club Charity.
The chosen charities will benefit from receiving signed merchandise, match tickets, fundraising from selected club events and the club’s support in helping to raise the profile and awareness of each organisation.
Charities must be locally registered, benefit the people living in the Dorset and Hampshire area and support AFC Bournemouth’s positive stance on equality.
This year the club will invite supporters to vote from a shortlist to select one of the three official charities. Voting will run throughout April and the Cherries’ new charity partnerships will then be announced at the end of May.
AFC Bournemouth’s business club AFC Business will continue to work with current charity partner Dorset Cancer Care for another season. The club’s three other existing charity partners Diverse Abilities, Mosaic and Space Youth Project have received support over the course of the 2016/17 season and will continue to do so until the end of this season.
