Bournemouth’s coastal businesses are uniting over the Easter period with the launch of a series of Easter attractions and a special competition.
Bournemouth Coastal BID representing coastal businesses announces the launch of an Easter campaign. Aimed at improving collective business prospects, the campaign will encourage more visitors and local people to explore Bournemouth’s unique coastal strip over the coming season.
The campaign will include many exciting attractions and events including an interactive Golden Easter Bunny Hunt. These activities are being organised by Bournemouth Coastal BID in partnership with local business associations from across Westbourne, West Cliff, East Cliff, Boscombe, Pier Approach, Pokesdown, Tuckton, Southbourne, and Hengistbury Head.
Providing an entertaining activity for all ages, the Golden Easter Bunny competition will run from the 16th March – 18th April 2017. It will see 10 Golden Bunnies move across 90 different businesses within the coastal area. The Golden Bunnies will be hopping over to another business every three days to highlight a wide variety of seaside shops, hotels and restaurants.
To take part in the competition shoppers will need to locate and take selfies with the Golden Bunnies. By checking into the business where the bunny is found on social media and uploading a ‘selfie’ using the hashtag #LoveBournemouthBunnies, shoppers will win a surprise gift in the hosting business. Everyone who takes a ‘selfie’ will also be entered into the main prize draw with the chance to win an exciting range of small to large prizes and giveaways.
Paul Clarke, Chairman Bournemouth Coastal BID and General Manager Bournemouth Hallmark Hotels enthused:
“Bournemouth Coastal Businesses want to put on fun events and activities over Easter to improve opportunities for businesses in the area. We are opening the Golden Easter Bunny Hunt with the chance to win a host of excellent prizes, from overnight stay and spa treatments in renowned Bournemouth Hotels, family ticket for RockReef and afternoon tea in the Miramar Hotel, we hope this will get more shoppers and customers exploring the local area.’’
