Plans by Bournemouth Development Company LLP for the iconic Winter Gardens site have now been approved. This £150 million scheme is one of the biggest that Bournemouth has ever seen.
It will create more than 350 new homes, nearly 600 car parking spaces, high-quality restaurants along Exeter Road, a new food store, a dedicated family area with a new piazza, and a widened landscaped pedestrian area along Exeter Road.
The regeneration of Bournemouth town centre is gathering momentum as a public-private partnership puts forward proposals for the development of the former Winter Gardens site.
The proposals, involving desirable new homes for families and individuals keen to live and work here, are part of Bournemouth’s Town Centre Vision.
As well as new buildings, the Vision champions investment in jobs, transport links, a sustainable environment, a thriving economy and a safe, strong and healthy community.
The Vision partner is The Bournemouth Development Company (BDC), a partnership between Bournemouth Council and Morgan Sindall Investments.
BDC has already delivered the beautifully designed Citrus Building, award-winning contemporary student accommodation at Madeira Road for Arts University Bournemouth and the landmark Madeira Road multi-storey public car park overlooking Wessex Way.
Winter Gardens is the latest site to be brought forward for rejuvenation.
Please join us at an exhibition just yards from the Winter Gardens site itself on: Thursday 20th October, 2016, from 2pm to 8pm, Hilton Hotel Bournemouth, Terrace Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5EL
